Bella's at Scrapfest

Wow, what an amazing Saturday I had in Kitchener. There is so much to share with you my friends so lets get started.

I walked into the auditorium and the Bella booth was just a few steps ahead,  and who are the first two babes I see, yup it's Lindabella and Paulineabella waiting in line to pay for there goodies. Of course I had my video camera to  capture every moment. Then  I see Paulabella who right away covered her face as soon as she realized it was me recording and Robinbella greeting me with smiles, not camera shy at all, LOVE IT !!! Not to far from them was dear Cathabella with her sweet mom looking at Bella's new stamps.   The Bella booth was jammin with excitement and Emily's make and take was out of this world and here are some photos of the day.

Here is Lindabella proudly showing off her gorguss mixed media canvas !!!

Here are a couple of Mini Bella's hard at work. Let me tell you these girls creations were amazing.

Here are some of Emily's Outstanding Mixed Media Creations she brought to Scrapfest for all of us to get inspired. I must tell you, that I am pumped after this Saturday !!

Here is sweet Isabelle Norris.

and here is a look at how nice and clean the bella table was :o) Hey, what fun would it be if you don't get dirty !!

Here is also a video for all the sistahs who could not make it to the show.

I am still not quite done with everything I have to say.  Later on while my daughter and I were walking around I saw Paula and her BFF Mary chatting away so I joined them. I must tell you all what a sweet heart Mary is, and I am so glad to have met her. Anyways moving on, my daughter wanted to go to Currys art store to buy some canvases cause she was pumped from Emily's booth. So, Paula, Mary my daughter and I decided to ditch the fare for a little bit and head on over to Currys in Kitchener. Heheheh, oh what fun was that idea, I had Paula all to myself at Currys, now how often will I ever have this opportunity.  Ok, I have yapped enough for today but before I say goodbye, don't forget about this weeks sketch challenge from Lindabella.  Make sure to email your cards to Emily by Thursday.

Bye Everyone and thanks for coming !!

Round and Round We Go

A circle card is this weeks Mojo.  Welcome everyone for another terrific  bellarific Friday challenge which was to create a circle card and here is what I came up with.

Introducing Lizzy Laptop. Isn't she the sweetest image ever and she reminds me of me except for the bathrobe part, I prefer lounging in my fleece PJ's.  I stamped her on Bellas bestest white paper and colored her  with Tim Holtz Distress inks.  I had never used the inks to color an image before and I was curious as to how it would turn out and I must say it doesn't look bad at all. With a small paint brush, ink and a tiny bit of water is all you need to color and the best part is it's a lot less expensive then prisma pencil crayons or Pablos.

Here is the video tutorial for my card, hope you enjoy it.

Next weeks Bellarific challenge is a Sketch I have created so I hope you will join in on the fun and give the sketch a shot. Well everyone I am off to visit what the awesome babes have created with the circle card so make sure to check out Emily's blog for all the awesome eye candy. Before I forget here is the sketch.

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by !!!

With Hugs and Kisses

I don't need to mention it's another awesome Bellariffic Friday with the Challenge of Valentine.  One of  my favorite celebrations of the year.  To love is one of the most powerful emotions we have been gifted with. I once read this saying about love that stuck to my head and it went like this, " Love is only a word until you find someone who gives it meaning" the author is Unknown but how true is his or her perception of the word.

Lets move on to my card which took the shape of a heart and an image that is perfect for this occasion, Little Peeps Heart

The shape of the heart was cut using my Cricut machine and the Wild Card Cartridge. I love this particular cartridge cause it's so versatile and you can create awesome looking card bases.  Also don't you just love this little peeps stamp from Stampingbella. As always this image was stamped on bellas bestest paper with memento Black ink and I used paper from Sassafras Lass Collection called Hog Heaven.  Here is the video tutorial for my card, so enjoy...

Next weeks Bellariffic Friday is a Circle card which I am looking so forward to creating cause I love the look of a circle card. I hope you can play along with the rest of us and show off your creations, simply email you card to Em by Thursday and be included to win some bella buckaroonies. Also don't forget to check out the bella blog to see what the other babes and the sistah hood has created for Valentines.

Thanks for checking in and have an awesome weekend everyone !!

A Note to You with Wasabi Ketto

Yes, it's that time again and another fun video tutorial. This weeks challenge was Free Form, meaning you construct your card any way you want and any bella image you want to use.  Well, with me this weeks challenge should of been easy right? no it was rather difficult. I don't know about you peeps but I lost my mojo this week.  Please let me know how you like this weeks card cause I spent the whole day thinking about how to put it together.

Once I have an idea of the paper and the image I want to use,  the next step is to come up with the most important element which is the layout.  This is the area where I ran into a brick wall.  Personally the stamp images of A note to you and Wasabi Ketto are so cute and versatile any layout would be perfect.  Another suggestion where you can use the stamp 'A note to you'  is a scrapbook page layout as the journaling block.

As always both my images were stamped on bellas bestest paper with Memento black Ink.  Instead of using my usual prisma colors, I opted for my copic markers to give it that extra umph. The paper pack collection is from My minds Eye called Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink.

I hope you will enjoy this weeks tutorial and find in informative.  I tried to incorporate some more techniques with Glossy accents and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Lastly, there will be no Bellariffic Friday next week Cause Emily will be in California for CHA. Also Em has announced on her blog that the New CHA will be live on January 25 so be sure to check back for what is coming !!!

Happy Birthday with Bronte and Louis

Oh how I missed our bellariffic Friday challenges, did you ? well  I am happy to be back with an awesome  video tutorial of this weeks sketch which was designed by the very talented Kimabella.
The image I chose to use for the sketch was Bronte and Louis and I stamped him on bellas bestest  white paper.  The paper pack I used for the entire card is from Basic Greys Marjolaine 6 x 6 collection and I also used a combination of prisma and Caran D'ache pencil crayons to color my image.  You will find the full details of my card when you watch the Youtube video tutorial.

Next weeks challenge is easy pessy cause it's Free Form so anything your heart desires. You can dress it up, dress it down, bring on the bling and glitter or any embellishment you want.  Also it would be awesome to show Emily some lovin and shower her with cards on the next challenge cause she has been so busy preparing for CHA and seeing all those awesome creations will sure to bring a smile to her face.

Oh what a Gift it Turned Out to Be

Like I mentioned in my last post, this weeks Bellarific Friday Tutorial is simply filled with amazing techniques and products.  This weeks challenge was to create a gift or a gift card so I simply opted to alter a  wooden box I purchased from the dollar store. I must mentioned this was not a quick and easy project, it took time to construct the idea and of course painting it was not a walk in the park.

The image I decided to use on my box is Theo gives a Prezzie  which is available at Stampingbella. You will notice I have taken out the present portion of the stamp and just used the teddy bear instead.  The designer paper on top of the box is from Tim Holtz Lost and Found Idea-ology pack.  In addition, I used distress inks to color the large flower and added feathers and bling to give it extra pazaaz. The hinges and the hardware used on the box were removed from another dollar store box and used on this one.  I love to improvise and use whatever I can find around the house on my creations.  The feet underneath were purchased from Michaels and they are the 1" candle cups.

I initially coved the box with white Gesso and then used two shades of acrylic green paint to give it more detail and depth.  Just sit back and enjoy the tutorial and I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Next weeks challenge is an awesome sketch done by our sweet Paulineabella and that will be the last challenge for 2010.  Lets end the year with a bomb of entries so here is the sketch...

Not today Maybe tomorrow...

I don't know about all of you out there but this card hits home with me.  I have always struggled with my weight and tried every diet that ever existed, but to be honest with you none of these diets work. It's a life style change and obviously eat in moderation. If you asked me which diet or program I prefer, I would have to say Weight Watcher wins hands down,  it's slow but it's good.

Right now my friend and I are on a downward slump and are pretty depressed and are thinking when we should start watching our food intake and count our points.  I made this card for her as a little motivation to not worry if not today Maybe tomorrow...

I used the stamp Hoping from Mo Manning and used bella's bestest paper and memento black ink.  I also colored her with prisma pencil crayons and used Martha Stewart Designer paper.  Here is my video tutorial hope you enjoy it.  Don't forget to enter next weeks challenge cause it's a good one, it's an all white card, just color your image and layer it on white.

Have a wonderful weekend all and happy crafting !!!

Christmas Doily Card

Hello bloggers, thanks for stopping by for this weeks Bellarific Friday challenge. I decided to incorporate my Cricut machine for the base of my card which happens to be the Doily card on the Wild card Cartridge . I try to make my cards as different and as interesting as possible to show you the many possibilities of creating.  The image I used to create my card was Not even a Mouse from Mo Manning and the paper was from the Graphic 45  Christmas past and Carol of Bells collection. I fell in love with this image when I first saw it on Paula's website and you can view her stunning work by clicking here.

I stamped this image on bella's bestest paper and also used Memento black Ink.  Be sure to check out the bella blog to see what the other awesome bella babes have created and also don't forget to enter next weeks challenge which happens to be a sketch done by Cathabella.

Videobabe hard at Work

It has truly been a very busy week for me so far.  I have been locked up in my Craft Studio creating the videos of the awesome babes when they came to visit last Saturday.  First of all I want to mention what a day it was for me, to be around such unbelievably talented ladies.  When Emily asked me to stop recording and join them for some fun time coloring I thought to myself there is no way I'm going to show my beginner level coloring around these pro's.

When I arrived at Stampingbella, all the babes were already their sitting around the table coloring and chatting away and I had a sudden rush of excitement run through me. I had met Linda and Paula  before when I took Paula's prisma coloring tutorial back in September.  I have created in total of 4 videos of Saturdays get together for all the sistah's to enjoy.  We even have a grass coloring tutorial from Paula and Copics tutorial from Linda that you can enjoy over and over again on youtube. Dana was so sweet to come all the way from Calgary,  Cath from Michigan and, Pauline from Chatham just for a few hours of bella fun and meet everyone and lets not forget some shopping as well.

I just want to say to all the babes, it was truly a pleasure to meet all of you and hope one day I can meet Elaine, Jeanie, Kim and Wendy as well.

I am leaving you today with two video tutorials of Linda and Paula, so enjoy !!!! and don't forget to enter your cards for this weeks Bellarific Friday challenge and the theme was Christmas or Holiday card.

Crisscross Card Tutorial

Do you ever get tired of making the standard A2 card ? well to be honest with you I sometimes get bored with the usual and look for something that tickles my fancy.   In this weeks bellarific challenge I decided to do a tutorial on how to make a crisscross card while incorporating the rule of 1-2-3 and here is what I came up with.

I stamped the percolator image on bella's bestest paper using memento black ink. The designer paper is from K & Company, Amy Butler design.  The crisscross card is one of the most versatile cards that you can make where  the insert can act as a recipe card, shower invitation, birthday invitation etc.  Just by changing the designer paper you can turn this card into a Christmas card and in the insert you can add a recipe of a gingerbread cookie, the possibilities are really limitless.  I hope you enjoy this weeks tutorial and please join me again next week where the Bellarific Friday Challenge is a Christmas/ Holiday Card.

Before I sign off for today, I just want to share my excitement about this Saturday where I get to meet some of the awesome Bella babes for the first time and they are  Cathybella, Danabella, Lindabella, Paulabella and Paulinebella.  I have actually met Linda and Paula once and I am looking forward to seeing them once again.  I will be bringing along my video camera to capture the party at bellaland !!!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and be sure to enter next weeks bellarific challenge for a chance to win bella buckaroonies.  Mwah for now !!!

Viva Decor

It's me again bloggers, yeah I know twice in one day but I really wanted to share with you another video on a product called Viva Decor and what you can do with it, let me tell you this product is absolutely gorgeous !!!  This demo has been done by our one and only Emily,  the miss bella herself so don't forget to check it out.  If you want to get your hands on these just head on over to stamping bella by clicking here.  Enjoy and once again have a great week-end everyone.

Javabuggs

It has been a very busy week of creativity for me as I have stumbled upon a new art medium called Pan pastels. I have watched several youtube demos using this product and I was sold instantly. They are truly a delight to color with cause they apply on to paper like butter leaving no steaks behind ( I sound like a windex commercial ).  I have discovered our very creative Lindabella has also been experimenting with the panpastels, if you want to see what she created just click here.

Ok, enough about me rambling on about these pastels and lets get down to our bellarific Friday card challenge which was a sketch done by our very talented stamping bella designer  Elaineabella

I have used the Javabuggs by Christy Croll and you can take a closer look at this stamp by clicking here .
I also stamped the image on Bellas bested white paper and colored the image with prisma pencil crayons.

All the additional information is provided on my youtube video tutorial.  I hope you will find my interpretation on the sketch inspiring and be sure to check back again next week for another fun challenge which is the rule of 1, 2, 3 - one image, two pattern papers and three embellishments. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you all come up with on this challenge.  Wishing you all a fun filled weekend and be sure to visit the Stamping bella booth at the Toronto Convention centre.

Dare to be Different with Missmatch Ketto

Hello Bloggers, and welcome to another awesome Bellarific Friday.  This weeks challenge was to create a card using a Ketto stamp.   I used Missmatch Kettto from Stamping bella for my creation as she was totally inspired by my lovely daughter.  When I first saw this stamp over at the Stamping bella store I fell in love with her, she had attitude, dare and flare written all over her.

I wanted to make my card totally fun, filled with girly colors and the best paper that matched my requirement was a designer pack from  K & Company Amy Butler collection.  Because I used the sentiment "dare to be different",  I wanted to incorporate something daring and different so rather then using ribbon I opted to use black tulle.  I noticed that I have been using tulle quite often in my creations lately cause I am really liking the look and feel of tulle on my cards.  How do sistah's feel about tulle ?

Here is a video tutorial of how I put this card together.  I hope you will all enjoy it and get inspired to create your own Ketto card. Don't forget to check out Emilys blog to see what all our awesome Bella babes and sistahs have created.

Next weeks Bellarific Fridays Challenge is a sketch done by Elaineabella, make sure to get your cards to Emily by Next Thursday and have a chance to win some bellabucks. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

One last note before I leave, my nail polish color from the last video was a great hit.  If you are wondering about the color I used in this video it's from OPI called "Star-ring the Rockettes".

Welcoming Fall Colors with Appleybowl Huggabugg

It's Bellarific Friday again and our challenge for this week was to create something using fall colors. Once I know the color scheme my life becomes easier (sometimes), cause all I have to do is choose the designer paper ( not always can choose) that best suits the challenge.

For my card, I used the designer paper from Studio Calico Nibbles the Elementary Collection. I absolutely love apples and this paper had everything that I was looking for and it complemented the stamp I wanted to use which is, the Appleybowl Huggabugg . Isn't she the cutest thing ever with her bowl of apples. This particular stamp is actually very versatile cause you can use it for a girls get together invitation, a peace offering or forgive me card, also you can use it on your scrapbook pages if you have apple picking photos.

I stamped the image on Bella's bestest Cream paper cause I find this paper provides the best result when coloring with prisma pencil crayons.

Next weeks theme is Kettos, so if you haven't been using your Kettos lately it's time to dust them off for the next challenge.

Here is a video tutorial of my card so sit back and enjoy. Also HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all the Canadian sistah's !!!

P.S. If you are wondering about the nail polish color I used on this video, its from Zoya and the name is Casey ZP24. Have a fabulous long weekend all and thanks for dropping by.
