May Your Year be filled with Wonderful Days

Hello bloggers, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very busy, had dinner guests on Saturday and Sunday so I pretty much spent the weekend in the kitchen.  However,  Friday was a real treat as my kids surprised me with an early Mother's day present which blew be off the water, they bought me the new iPhone 4S, I could not believe my eyes, of course this was mainly funded by my DH.  I will be off to the mall today to look at some cases for it so it does not get scratched.

Aside from being extremely busy, I managed to get a card done and she is absolutely adorable in my humble opinion. Meet Izzie with a Cherry on Top, she makes a perfect birthday card and the sentiment is actually from Mo Manning .

I coloured her up with Prisma pencil crayons and used liquid appliqué for the icing on the cupcake to give it a 3D effect. For extra added detail, I distress inked some clouds in the background and added glitter with a clear Sakura jelly pen.

Don't forget about this weeks Bellariffic Challenge which is SEWING - Faux or real, it's totally up to you. Just email your card to Emily by this Thursday and she will have it up on the Bella Blog on Friday.

That's all for today Friends, thanks for dropping by !!

Sprout

Hello bloggers and welcome back for another terrific Bellariffic Friday Challenge. This week was an easy peasy sketch that I put together for us to enjoy and here is my card.

Isn't she coincidently perfect for the season where all our plants and flowers are sprouting and the smell of spring is in the air. Last night we went to Costco and I picked up six hanging plants of varies kinds and colours and they simply look gorgeous. I will be actually hanging them after my post and doing some more garden work.

The image I used for my card is called Sprout and she is a Mo Manning Illustration and is available in rubbah at Stamping Bella.  I stamped her on bellas bestest white paper with VersaFine Black ink and coloured her with Prisma pencil crayons.  It's a little difficult to see but I used the Sakura clear glitter pen on the stripes of her shirt and shoes.  Taking a step back and looking at this card, I realized I should have sewn around the background pieces to add more detail and depth.

Next weeks challenge is sewing - faux or real you decide which works best for you. Be sure to email your cards to Emily by next week Thursday to be included in a draw for some bella bucks, how easy is that !!

Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely weekend everyone !

Dark and Gloomy Out

Hello bloggers, I hope you're having better weather then us here in Ontario. It is dark and rainy today but one good news is it's going up to 18 degrees. I have tons of chores inside and outside of the house, first of all I need to go to Costco to pick up some handing plants for the back and the front yard. Last week I bought a small Lilac bush and planted that in the back yard, I love the smell of Lilacs and can't wait to see them blossom. My plan is to snip them off as they grow and put them all over my house for colour and scent. I have also planted some Dahlia bulbs for the first time so I am hoping the rabbits won't get to the bulbs.

To be honest with you, I was never into gardening but I'm really enjoying it now. One sad thing is I do not have a Green thumb and most of the time whatever I plant, dies on me.  Last year I planted Four Cedar pine trees in the back yard and this year we pulled them all out cause they did not survive. I'm thinking maybe it's the drainage, my soil is staying to wet and rotting all the roots. OK, I'm sure you had enough about me rambling on about my gardening experiments and experiences so lets move onto a card shall we.

On Saturday a bunch of us girls went out for dinner to celebrate one of our BF's birthday and this is the card I made for her. She is an Uptown Girl called Posh has a present.  Every time there is a birthday or a celebration, my friends look forward to what card they are going to get from me rather then the present and this makes me so happy cause they really value and treasure my work.

This is a large stamp image therefore you can't play around with design to much cause she pretty much covers most of the card. I stamped her on Bellas bestest White paper and coloured her with Prisma's and Copics. If you look closely at her shoe's I glittered them all up.... hehehe !! LOVE Glittah.

This week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a Sketch. Don't forget to email your cards to Emily and upload them onto SCS website under the keyword BELLARIFFIC1712.

April Showers May Flowers

We're near the end of April and looks like it's doing to be a rather long wait to get our May flowers.  This year we did not see much of winter, and it's quite rare not to get snow in Canada.  I have a feeling summer this year is going to be rather very short but I hope I'm  wrong.

For this weeks Bellariffic Friday theme of Flowers, I chose Natasha from the Green Bean Baby Collection.
This collection is one of my most favourite next to the Uptown Girls cause of it versatility and of course cuteness.

I stamped Natasha with Versafine Ink on Bella's bestest white paper, as you can notice I cut around my image and glued her on to a Nestabilities Die. To bring her to like I used a combination of Copic Markers and Prisma Pencil crayons. The designer paper is from Basic Greys Picadilly collection and the small flowers are from Fiskars punches.

Next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge is yet another Sketch. All you have to do is create a card with the guide lines of the sketch and email a photo of it to Emily by next Thursday and also you can post it on SCS under the keyword BELLARIFFIC1712.

Once again thanks for stopping by and have a terrific Weekend everyone !!

Here is another Oldie...

but a goodie my friends so here is  Addy'tude from the Tiddly Inks Collection.

I love going back to my old stamps and seeing which one I hadn't inked up in quite some time and giving it some ink love.

I coloured my image with Prisma pencil crayons and always I use bellas's bestest white or cream paper for easier colouring and brilliant results.

Sorry for a short post today as it has been a hectic day for me but I will see you all back here again tomorrow for the Bellariffic Friday Card, which the theme was flowers.

Thanks for stopping by !!

A Cute little Story

My son Emre fell in love with this card the minute he saw it and asked if he can have it to give to his French teacher who he adores to no end.  She truly is a very special person who is playing a big role in his life and planting seeds in his mind to become someone good in the future. Every morning I see the twinkle in his eyes as he looks forward to going to school and that means the world to me.

Ok, let move onto our image shall we.  Meet  Altee'tude from the Tiddly Inks collection and she comes with the sentiment "on cloud nine" which I did not use on my card. I absolutely love this image, and this time around I wanted her in muted tones and I think she turned out rather stunning.

Her hair was coloured with Copic markers and the rest was coloured with Prisma pencils and if you look close you will notice a very buffy white cloud and I achieved this effect by using Liquid Applique
The designer paper is from Pink Paislee,  Praire Hill collection. If you take another close look, you will notice clear glitter on her flower and this was done with Sakura gel pen.

Thanks for Stopping by and see you again on Friday !!

Hanging Sign Birthday Card

Hello bloggers, it's a late post today but I wanted to share my Hanging Sign card. I always say you can never have enough of birthday cards and I have quite a few lined up next month.

I stamped my image on Bella's bestest white paper and coloured it with Prisma pencils. For extra added detail I glued 3 random buttons, don't the buttons look familiar to Fridays card :D. If you look closer, you will notice I did Faux stitching around my card and I must admit it looks like machine stitched.

Quick reminder for next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge (BELLARIFFIC1612) use FLOWERS.
I absolutely love flowers so I'm looking forward to seeing all of your lovely flower cards, so be sure to play along with the rest of us Bella's and post it to the SCS website.

That's all for today everyone, thanks for dropping by !!
