Never To Early to make Christmas Cards

As promised, here are some of my Christmas cards I started making.

I love all my stamped images used in these cards. I used Prismacolor pencil crayons and gamsol to blend the colours. I must confess my favourite is the girl, Eve under the mistletoe as she is coloured with the perfect shades of green.

If you have any question about the products or techniques used please feel free to leave s comment below.

Mixed Media Fun

Hello bloggers, it has been a very long time since I have done a post, and to be honest with you I truly miss it.
I have been creating mixed media art journals and posting them on my Facebook page but you guys can't see them to get inspired.  Here are just a few pages I have created and I hope these tickle your creative juices.

This one is my most favorite because of the vintage picture of the lady. I printed her on a book page and cut her out and with matte medium placed her in my journal.  I used a mixture of Faber Castell Pitt Pens, Gelatos, stencils and Tim Holtz Stamps to create this piece.

These creations are done on a water colour Molskin Art Journal.  The quality of the paper is excellent and can handle many layers of medium. More stamps and stencils are used for both pages.

This one particular creation is actually a mixture of my own art work and digital additions.  I really like how this page turned out however it is digitally enhanced.  The original does not have the digital pieces.
The vintage ladies are a stamp I had purchased from Michaels.

This one is a simple double page labout.  The flowers are a stamping bellla stamp and I coloured it with watercolour paint. The bottom bird is a bird stamp also purchased at Michaels.
Hopefully I will not take another  2 years for my next post and will continue to bring more and exciting posts for all of you to enjoy and learn.

If you have any questions in regards to material and technique used, please leave me a comment and I will certainly get back to you with and answer.

Happy Birthday to you

It really saddens me to mention I  no longer find the time and the energy to create cards.  I miss sitting in my studio everyday and spending just a few precious moments just me and my images and of course my pencil crayons.

Here is a card I had actually made awhile back but had not had a chance to share it.

Meet Anastasia from the Green Bean Baby Collection.

As you can see I coloured her up with my prisma pencil Crayons and used Sakura clear glitter pen to give her sweet little sparkles.

Thanks for dropping by.

Where has the time gone

Last week, my daughter graduated from grade 8 and we went to her grad and let me tell you she was simple stunning. She is only 14 years old and much taller then me with strawberry blond hair. I was so proud of her as she graduated with honours and got a merits  award.

The renovations are finally finished n the house. My kitchen looks simply gorgeous with a new counter top and top of the line faucet. The colours and the style looks perfect and I will shares photos with you soon, I promise.  I'm just to lazy to hook up my iPhone to the computer so this will have to wait, however I do have a card to share with all of you.

First of all, I must mention I love the clouds in the background and this technique I learned by my dear friend Paula. The stamp I used is called Posie Pixie from Stamping Bella and isn;t she just darling !!
I paper pieced her dress and used Sakura clear glitter pen for the flowers.

Well everyone, this is a short put sweet post.  I do have one more card to share with you but that one is going to have to wait for a later time.

Thanks for dropping by and have an awesome creative day !!

Bellarific Friday on Saturday and Happy Mother's Day

Well, hello bloggers and welcome to another Bellariffic Friday Challenge . Sorry for the late post as I have been crazy busy internally and externally.

I do have a couple of important news I wanted to share. First of all I am very, very sad to mention that I have stepped down as a Bella Babe ( crying ).  This was one of the hardest choices I had to make because this was one place where I can come and express my artistic side and work with extremely talented group of ladies who I simply adore and will cherish to no end. I will miss the Bella Babes and the title greatly and I thank Emily from the bottom of my heart for opening the door for me and letting me into her world of creativity and art.  I have learned so much and met such terrific people, this is one experience I will never forget, " THANK YOU SO MUCH" my dear friend.

Meet Uptown Girl Claudia has a candy, I did not use the full image and just cut the top portion of her and I think she turned out rather "sweet" don't you think. The theme was sew or faux and I decided to do some real sewing. I know I mentioned this before but I really am not a good sewer even though I enjoy doing it.  Every artist has a certain weakness and mine is this :o)

I stamped her on Bella's bestest white paper with versafine Black onyx ink and coloured her with prisma pencil crayons. For extra detail, I used liquid pearl along the bottom of her dress and Sakura jelly pens on the candy .

Next weeks bellariffic challenge is a sketch once again and I hope you can participate,  Just email your card to Emily by next Thursday and she will pick a random winner for some Bella Bucks.

This is my last post as a Bella babe, but it certainly is not my final post.  When time permits, I will still continue participating in the challenges and share my cards from time to time.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Mother's day weekend to all the Mom's out there !!
