My Little Angel Emre

Here is a scrapbook page I had done of my darling son Emre.

Mismatch Ketto - Dare to be Different

Isn't she just absolutely  darling.  I thought of entering her in the bella contest but I came up with a better creation.  I will post that after I have enter the challenge.

Dream Card

Fathers day - June 2007

These photos were taken on fathers day in the year 2007.  This is the year I will never forget in my life which sealed the bond in my marriage.

My very First Scrapbook Page

I have come a long way.  Looking back  at my old pages versus my new ones, there have been huge developments made.  I take more time and thought using different techniques and color palettes that express  what I am trying to convey in my layout.

Generations - Scrapbook page

Top right picture is my mom, bottom left is me at 1 1/2 years of age, middle is me and right is my daughter Pinar.
          Aysel Altiok

The title pretty much says it all.  I had to do one where I had old black and white photos that needed to be preserved and told a story.  What better way to present it the a scrapbook page.

When the Shoe Fits, Buy it

Could not resist making a card about shoe's. I have a weakness for shoes and when I bought the saying at Michael's I knew exactly which Bella stamp I needed  to complete the perfect shoe card. I am calling it a night and putting away all my stuff of coarse only till Monday :o)

Peaceful Reflections - Fridays Creation

Book Mark Sunday

I just love making book marks.  The one I made with Charlette Ketto before has found a new home so I had to make another one.  Then my daughter say's to me " can you make a special bookmark for me to mommy". So, I made one for her and one for me.

Yes, I was at Stamping bella again this weekend and had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Bella herself (Emily).  She is truly a very kind lady who touched my daughters heart in a very special way and for that I thank her very much.   Pinar, with her own allowance bought Ginger Ketto. Emily noticing that was very touched that she spent her own money to buy one of her stamps so she treated Pinar to a pebble stone embellishment. You should have seen her face light up when Emily introduced herself as Ms.Bella. She replied back by saying " really" like meeting one of her idols for the first time, it was very nice to see. If only I lived near by, I would probably visit the store everyday :o)

Due to all my crafting, I have neglected the family just a little bit, so to make it up to them I made a really nice Eggplant dish very much like musakka, some pasta and BBQ'd chicken and fish. We are having feast tonight :o)

Today is a big day for me !! my husband bought the Sony, HD camcorder. I can't wait to start making little tutorials and posting them up on my blog.  I have hundreds of ideas dancing in my head.  I will be venturing into the video word as well.  Like I had mentioned before I have an apple laptap and with that I have the Imovie which I have no clue how to use yet. This is where my sister Lori comes in to play.  She is the Queen of all Queens when it come to imovie so I asked her if she can tutor me on it.  So it looks like it will be quite a while before I have my craft videos up on my blog.  Well that's all  for today... Hope you liked my bookmarks.

4U Appley Bowl Huggabug

Here is another card.  I have so much scrap paper that I wanted to use some of it up therefore I created this one card. Simple and cute, colors filled with warmth that is inviting.  Hope you get inspired...

Hello Dear Friend

This has got to be one of my favorite cards of all.  This card was made with Wasabe Ketto.  Isn't she absolutely divine.  The colors were inspired by my husbands favorite Turkish Soccer team, "Besiktas".  He actually dared me to make a card that is black and white so I did, with a hint of dusty pink.

Sugar and Spice - Appley Bowl Huggabug Stamp

Something sweet but yet simple. This is not one of my favorites because of the color combination I used.  You know what they say, practice makes perfect...

Pinar's Creation

This card was made by my lovely daughter Pinar.  She is quite the critic when it comes to her creations. I personally like it.  This card is also going to Lori Cicianne.

Miss You

Here is Charlotte again. I am sending this card to my sister in Calgary.  Every March break they come to visit us but this year we are alone :o(
I really like the pink and baby blue combination.

My Book Mark

We went to Stamping Bella yesterday and I picked up a few stamps.  This particular one is called Charlotte Ketto, I needed a bookmark so I made one.  Isn't she just lovely...

The Wisdom In Hot Chocolate

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were discussing their lives at a class reunion. They decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired, who was always an inspiration to them. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work, lives and relationships.

Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups. Some cups were porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite. He invited each to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor shared his thoughts.

“Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.”

“While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.”

“The cup that you are drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.”

“What each of you really wanted was hot chocolate. You did not want the cup . . . but you consciously went for the best cups.”

“And soon, you began to eye one another’s cups.”

“Now friends, please consider this . . .

“Life is the hot chocolate . . .your job, money and position in society are the cups.”

“They are just tools to hold and contain life.”

“The cup you have does not define, nor does it change, the quality of life you are living.”

“Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup,we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us.”

Always remember this . . . . . . . . . . God brews the hot chocolate, He does not choose the cup.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything.

They just make the best of everything that they have!!

Live simply . . . Love generously . . . Care deeply . . .Speak kindly . . .

Leave the rest to God.~ and remember ~ The richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least. Enjoy your hot chocolate!!

Thanks

I don't know what I would do without my MacBook Pro.  I am always on it whether I am posting on my blog or downloading songs or even just surfing.  My husband had bought it for me about 3 years ago on my birthday and I love it still.  With so many pictures, songs and other files my laptop was running very slow.  I have a good friend at work who is also Mac crazy like me, and he was kind enough to give me  two of his spare 2GB memory cards and know my laptop is running on full speed " YEAH".  I just want to send out a special thank you to James, and also send him this thank you card in appreciation for  saving me from the stone ages.

The 2nd page on my 2 page layout - " Pool Boys"

I am not quite done with the second page but at least managed to glue it down.  I have small details left to do add and hopefully should be fully finished today.  There are so many other pages I need to make it is not funny...

Imagine - My Sassy Card

This card was once again made with Latte Bella stamp but cut in half.  I love the cuttle bug swiss dots embossing folder, it gives such a pretty detail to the card.  I particularly like the hat at the corner. This was a stamp I had been looking at for the longest time, and when I saw it on sale I could not resist it so I bought it.  The hat was heat embossed with black and later again embossed with glitters.  I think it is a cute detail for a cute girly girl card.

Hello Card # 1

Another bella stamp called the " Latte Bella " which I absolutely love.  What I really need to work on is my water coloring techniques, as I seem to rush through it.  Personally I prefer stamping on white or off white card stock because it shows the stamped image much better.
I hope this card inspires at least one person to make a card of there own.

Hello Card#2

I love Michael's when they have there big sale don't you ?.   On Friday after work I thought I would go and see if they had any more of cuttlebug kids Alphabet letters left.  I promised Lori that I would go and check it  out as all the letters were sold out in Calgary.  Guess what, she was in luck, I ended up picking her the princess fonts die cut and also the funky circles die cut.  Do you think I can walk out of there not getting myself something.  "NO" of course not... Michael's had brought down there prices even more on the dies so I picked up 1 border die cutter with 2 cutters inside and I picked up another one which was all different kinds of flowers.

The Angel card was made with one of the cuttlebug border die cuts and tiny pearl embellishments .  I love the Pink and  Green combination, reminds me of watermelon's which I absolutely love in the summer time with Feta cheese.  So typically Turkish !! Love it.
