April Showers May Flowers

We're near the end of April and looks like it's doing to be a rather long wait to get our May flowers.  This year we did not see much of winter, and it's quite rare not to get snow in Canada.  I have a feeling summer this year is going to be rather very short but I hope I'm  wrong.

For this weeks Bellariffic Friday theme of Flowers, I chose Natasha from the Green Bean Baby Collection.
This collection is one of my most favourite next to the Uptown Girls cause of it versatility and of course cuteness.

I stamped Natasha with Versafine Ink on Bella's bestest white paper, as you can notice I cut around my image and glued her on to a Nestabilities Die. To bring her to like I used a combination of Copic Markers and Prisma Pencil crayons. The designer paper is from Basic Greys Picadilly collection and the small flowers are from Fiskars punches.

Next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge is yet another Sketch. All you have to do is create a card with the guide lines of the sketch and email a photo of it to Emily by next Thursday and also you can post it on SCS under the keyword BELLARIFFIC1712.

Once again thanks for stopping by and have a terrific Weekend everyone !!

Here is another Oldie...

but a goodie my friends so here is  Addy'tude from the Tiddly Inks Collection.

I love going back to my old stamps and seeing which one I hadn't inked up in quite some time and giving it some ink love.

I coloured my image with Prisma pencil crayons and always I use bellas's bestest white or cream paper for easier colouring and brilliant results.

Sorry for a short post today as it has been a hectic day for me but I will see you all back here again tomorrow for the Bellariffic Friday Card, which the theme was flowers.

Thanks for stopping by !!

A Cute little Story

My son Emre fell in love with this card the minute he saw it and asked if he can have it to give to his French teacher who he adores to no end.  She truly is a very special person who is playing a big role in his life and planting seeds in his mind to become someone good in the future. Every morning I see the twinkle in his eyes as he looks forward to going to school and that means the world to me.

Ok, let move onto our image shall we.  Meet  Altee'tude from the Tiddly Inks collection and she comes with the sentiment "on cloud nine" which I did not use on my card. I absolutely love this image, and this time around I wanted her in muted tones and I think she turned out rather stunning.

Her hair was coloured with Copic markers and the rest was coloured with Prisma pencils and if you look close you will notice a very buffy white cloud and I achieved this effect by using Liquid Applique
The designer paper is from Pink Paislee,  Praire Hill collection. If you take another close look, you will notice clear glitter on her flower and this was done with Sakura gel pen.

Thanks for Stopping by and see you again on Friday !!

Hanging Sign Birthday Card

Hello bloggers, it's a late post today but I wanted to share my Hanging Sign card. I always say you can never have enough of birthday cards and I have quite a few lined up next month.

I stamped my image on Bella's bestest white paper and coloured it with Prisma pencils. For extra added detail I glued 3 random buttons, don't the buttons look familiar to Fridays card :D. If you look closer, you will notice I did Faux stitching around my card and I must admit it looks like machine stitched.

Quick reminder for next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge (BELLARIFFIC1612) use FLOWERS.
I absolutely love flowers so I'm looking forward to seeing all of your lovely flower cards, so be sure to play along with the rest of us Bella's and post it to the SCS website.

That's all for today everyone, thanks for dropping by !!

Madison Has a Margarita

It's another Bellariffic Friday (BELLARIFFIC1512) everyone and thanks for coming by.  I have a gazillion things to do today therefore my post will be on the short side.

This week was a Sketch challenge and I used the Uptown Girl stamp called Madison has a Margarita, isn't she cute.  So you know, I only stamped half of the image and did not use the sentiment it came with.  It's nice to sometimes take an image and use a certain part of it to create your card.

She was stamped on Bellas bestest white paper with Memento Black Ink, but I have to tell you all I have a new favourite ink pad called VersaFine, and let me tell you it is absolutely the best.  Thanks to Denabella for pointing it out to me, I LOVE IT !!

She was coloured with Prisma pencils and the white highlights were given with Sakura pens, which I also LOVE and will use at all times.

Next weeks challenge is Flowers, so you can use paper that has flowers in it, a Stamping Bella image with flowers or little die cuts or paper flowers, it's all up to you !! Don't forget to upload your cards to SCS website under this weeks new Keyword BELLARIFFIC1612, and you can win some Bella bucks for your next shopping at Stamping Bella.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a great weekend Sistah's !!

A Blast from the Past

I never would have thought in a million years I would share my watercolour paintings 19 years later on my blog. My love and passion for art started when I was very young and has continued to today and will go on until I am unable to use my hands. I remember doing fashion sketches and watercoloring paintings at the age of 11 or even younger and what I regret the most is I only kept very few of them.  Today I want to share some of my watercolour painting from 1993-94, hope you will enjoy.

Basket full of flowers was inspired by a photograph I saw in a magazine and went to work right away to produce this painting.

The wine with fruits was all from my own imagination, not sketched from any photo.

Water jug full of mixed flowers, my most favourite of all my paintings.

This one is from a  photograph I took when visiting Antalya Turkey back in 1993.

See you back on Friday for Bellariffic Friday !!

Bellarific Friday and Scrapfest In Kitchener

Got myself a nice cup of Hazelnut coffee beside me to start my Friday morning post.  The kids are off at school, hubby at work and I got a nice quiet house to myself :D

Today is the start of Scrapfest in Kitchener and for those of you  who do not know what Scrapfest is, it's all major Scrapbooking and Craft vendors getting together to show and sell their line of stamps, various mixed media  paints, stencils, markers, stickers, die cuts and many many more items.  For the local sistah's, don't miss it, and be sure to stop by the Stamping Bella booth and say hello to Emily, I'm sure she will be so happy to see you all there.  Also some of the bella babes will be there as well like Lindabella, Paulineabella and Paulabella.  Unfortunately,  I'm unable to go this year due to a sprained ankle :( and I am so sad cause I won't be able to see the babes.  Here is a look back at last years Scrapfest.

Okay, let's get to this weeks Bellariffic Challenge which was a shower card and here is what I created.

Meet Rain Never Stopped Me-abella which also includes the sentiment. I stamped my image on Bellas bestest white paper with Memento black ink and coloured her face, and hair with copic markers. The rest of the image was paper pieced to give it more detail and texture with MME Fine and Dandy True Blue collection and Crate Paper's Restoration Collection.

If you take a close look at the card you will notice rain drops around her and on her umbrella, and this effect was created using small dabs of glossy accents. If you haven't uploaded this weeks cards to SCS site you can still do so with the keyword BELLARIFFIC1412.

Next weeks challenge is another sketch (BELLARIFFIC1512) and this is a fun one with buttons and ribbons. Just email your cards to Emily by next Thursday to enter in a draw to win some Bella bucks.

I'm off to visit the babes blogs to see there creations this week. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Could not Resist...

to case this awesome creation by Christine, who happens to be one talented sistah I tell ya !! I was in Bella land yesterday to visit Em, who I haven't seen in ages and I missed her. When I was there I saw Christine in action,  teaching a class of very dedicated and enthusiastic students, and my jaw dropped at how gorgeous each and every person was coloring there images !

Here is my take on Uptown Girl Ava Loves to Celebrate bookmark, who happens to be going to my daughter who LOVES to read and can't seem to get enough book marks :D.  I tried to not case it 100% so I think my Purple is a bit darker with pinkish shading and my cake is more Chocolatey and creamy :D

When you take a close look at the BM, you will notice a line coming down on the right side and that is because I tried to laminate this by using thick packing tape.  As you can see I did not do a really good job of it and it bubbled on me and also it was not as wide as the paper so I had to layer the tape. This is my first  time  laminating with tape, so practise makes perfect I always say !!

Don't forget to email your card to Emily today for this weeks challenge which was a shower card.

Hope to see you tomorrow !!

Happy Birthday with Miranda

Hello bloggers, first of all I would like to wish all that celebrate  a wonderful good Friday.  Secondly, we have a new Bella babe in town and her name is Natasha, who also happens to be new in the blogging world so let's give her a warm welcome !!

This weeks challenge was a sketch I put together using Sketchbook Pro and Scrapbook Boutique, I find these two softwares work best for me when designing a sketch.  Let's take a look at my card shall we.
I used Miranda the teacup Girl from the Green Bean Baby collection.  As always, the only paper I use to stamp my images is bellas bestestest white paper and it also comes in cream colour too.

I colored Miranda mainly with  Copics  and then went in with Prisma pencil crayons for shading and more in depth coloring. For extra added detail I used bling for the centre of the flowers.

Next weeks theme is a Shower card, that could be anything from a bridal to Baby or even rain in the image so have fun. Email your cards to Emily by next Thursday and don't forget to upload to SCS with the keyword BELLARIFFIC1412.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and thanks for dropping by !!
