My Art/photo Journal Pages with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S

For those of you who don't know, I am hosting a give away on my blog for a Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S.  For details about this giveaway please click here

I have been a busy bee lately with my art journal and of course my greeting cards.  It seems all I have been doing lately is cutting, stamping, glueing and painting and no work gets done around the house.  Once I close myself into my craft room I lose all outside contact, it's just me and my material. Today I wanted to share with you photos of my personal Art journal that I have been working on lately. I truly hope these photos inspire you to create your very own journal about your daily happenings.

The photo above was a day during March break where the kids, my bff and I went to Cora for breakfast then off to see RANGO. OK, you are probably saying why did she but a Q at the end of Rango, well I made a boo boo and had no clue how to fix it so I left it the way it is. Life is not perfect nor am I. When I look back one day to these pages, it will certainly put a smile to face.

Hehehe, OK this is one of my favorite pages cause this is where I confess to shrinking my husbands favorite sweater.  I love to add humour to my journaling pages along with any scraps I have in my scrap bin and trust me I have too much scraps.

Ahhh finally I saved the best for last. My daughter is my inspiration and she shines so bright in my life. Can you believe she wrote that saying on her own and I had to put it into my journal so it is never lost or forgotten.  I will certainly share more pages with all of you and do some video tutorials as well so keep checking back cause you'll never know what you will find in My Scrapbooking and Craft Journal !!

Don't forget tomorrow is Polka dots over at Stampingbella. Happy crafting...

Krafty Thursday # 49 with What's Cookin and another card Video Tutorial

I have never participated in the Krafty Thursday Challenges my friend Jeaniebella hosts over at her blog every Thursday, so I am giving it a try this week with a Digi image from Mo Manning called 'What's Cookin'.  I printed my image on bellas bestest paper and brought her to life with my prisma pencil crayons.  I do have to warn you peeps when colouring Digi images the printer ink tends to smudge with the prisma pencils.  If anyone reading this post has a solution or suggestion please do share cause I certainly don't have one.

I also did a video tutorial on how I created my card so you might enjoy watching it.  Oh how I want to win that Krafty Chick badge to display on my blog :o)

Don't forget next weeks bellarific Friday challenge is  polka dots, you have an extra week to create your master piece and submit it to Emily by Thursday March 31st. Thats all for today, happy crafting everyone !!!

My First Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Entry and Video Tutorial

You all know I had a very pleasant and relaxing day yesterday and here is one of the images I coloured up by Mo Manning called Little Umbrella.   I was over at my friend Danabella's blog and she had posted the Sweet Sunday Sketch# 109 and me never participating in it before thought I give it a try so here is what I came up with. It's actually quite funny how Dana and I used completely opposite images to represent the sketch.  My mind was at the beach and well,  Dana was thinking of the snow storm that was heading her way but I am certain she wished she was on that beach !!!

Ahh, how I wish I was back at the hot beaches of Antalya.  Last summer the family and I went to Turkey and let me tell you we were at the beach and pool side every single day. Of course after a month and a half of relaxing and eating, that stamped image you see above represents me full  figure and all hehehe...

Don't forget there is no bellariffic challenge this week but next week is polka dots.  Make sure to email your cards to Emily for all the babes and sistahs to enjoy.

Well, that's all for today and thanks for coming.  Just a quick note, if you haven't seen my previous post about my awesome giveaway just scroll down for full contest details.  I have opened to US residents as well so leave me a comment.

Ahhh My Monday Morning Bliss

The kids have gone back to school today so you know how the saying goes, when the cats's away the mice will play.  In my case the mice were away and the cat played and played with her Caran D'ache and Prisma pencil crayons :o)

I wanted to share a photo of my morning today and let me tell you it was pure bliss. I turned on my favorite songs on itunes and slowly sipped my fresh coffee.  I was not alone, accompanied with me was  Mo digi's and my favorite coloring  mediums (hehehe) nice ehh.  Not often do I have this much time spared just for me, but today I made sure I did and I enjoyed it tremendously.

Well, in the next couple of days I will have some really cute cards to share with all of you so I hope you will check back.  That's all the news for today, and thanks for dropping by.

Bellarific Friday - Billboardabella

Happy Friday bloggers and thanks for dropping by.  As you already know every Friday is the Bellarific Challenge and this week was an amazing sketch done by our very talented Danabella. For this sketch I wanted to use a tall stamp that I hadn't inked up in a very long time and that happened to be billboardabella.

Here is a closer look at her where you can really see the color detail.

It is a lovely day here in Toronto and the kids are off from school due to March break.  We are heading out with my BFF and her son for breakfast and a movie in about an hour so gotta keep this post short and sweet. If you want to know what movie we are seeing, it's RANGO.  I will certainly do a review for those who are interested.

Please note we are taking  next week off from the Bellarific challenge but don't be disappointed cause we will resume April 1st with the Polka dots. You all have extra time to summit your polka dot card to Emily so no excuses !!!

Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Friday bloggers and welcome back to another Bellarific Friday where the challenge was to create a card with Easter in mind.  I absolutely love this Bunny stamp called AMIMALS bunny from Stampingbella and colouring her was a treat. I wanted my card to be fun and bright so I opted with the paper pack from October Afternoons Modern Homemaker.

As always my image was stamped on bellas bestest white paper with Memento black ink and brought to life with my prisma pencil crayons. Moving along to our next weeks challenge, which happens to be an awesome sketch done by the very talented Danabella

I hope you play along next week and be sure to check out the bella blog to see all the Easter card creations. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day !!!

Beastly

Hi bloggers, just to let you know this is not a craft related post but a movie review.  This past Sunday my daughter who will be turning thirteen wanted to see the new movie called Beastly with Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer.  The movie was most definitely a modern version of the classic  Beauty and the Beast. The theatre was filled with teenage raging hormones of mostly girls and some boys who were dragged by there girlfriends. What I loved the most about the movie was not really the movie but the quality of time I spent with my daughter. I loved the fact she wanted to watch this movie with me, and not her friend from school.  I am enjoying these special moments as much as I possibly can cause I know there is going to be a moment in time she is not going to want to do these with me anymore. If you have a teenage daughter, I am certain she will enjoy this movie. As for me, I did not mind it too much cause the ending was obviously quite predictable but regardless I give it a thumbs up for moms to take there daughters to watch.

An Aquamarine Day in Bellaland

Hello bloggers and welcome back to another awesome Bellarific Friday where the theme was March's birthstone colour Aquamarine.  I made my card using one of the new images released by Stampingbella and it is called Posie Pixie.

I coloured my image with prisma pencil crayons and stamped it on bellas bestest paper with Memento black Ink. The designer paper I went with is from Basic Grey 6 X6 paper pack called Lime Rickey from   a 2008 collection.

Next weeks challenge is Easter, so bring on the eggs, and bunnies. Don't forget to visit the bella blog today to see all the entries and what the awesome babes have come up with. That's it for Friday, I wish you all a wonderful crafty weekend, Mwah !!

Sit back Relax and Enjoy with Put your FEETupabella and I WON

Hello bloggers and thanks for dropping by again to see my latest creation.  I had purchased PutyourFEETupabella awhile ago but did not have the chance to color her up so here she is, what do ya think ?

I wanted the chic, retro, funky todays modern women look to her and I also wanted to have fun with the color palette. As you can see I used yellow, black, red and purple, not a really commonly used combination but then again I am one not always going for the common.  I like to bend the rules when it comes to color and style.

I added three little dots at the end of sentiment cause inside the card will read ..." Your Birthday", and I always say this, you can never have enough birthday cards.

I have another awesome news to share with you peeps. Cari over at Cari's Book blog hosted an awesome give away for a book called Falling Under by Gwen Hayes. Guess who won, yes your truly and I got so excited because I never win anything.  I Want to send out a big thank you to Cari and also  NAL Trade Paperback for providing the giveaway copy!  If you love to read and sometimes don't know what is good or not so good,
Cari has awesome reviews on variety of books so check her out.

I hope you haven't forgotten about this weeks Bellarific Friday Color challenge which consisted of the Aquamarine colors like the picture.  Make sure to send your photo to Em tomorrow by 5:00 EST to have a chance to win some bella bucks !!!
