Farm Fresh Friday Sketch Challenge - I Love You

I thought the sketch on the Greeting Farm site would be really fun to do so I came up with this card. I absolutely love the " Darling Sisters" stamp set and I used one of the sisters to create my card. I am happy with the way it turned out cause the color palette really suits the image.

I used Copic markers to color her and the designer paper is from My minds Eye.

Second of all, I want to thank everyone who has been watching my videos on youtube and writing such wonderful comments. I cant believe I already have over 120 subscribers. I will continue with more videos. Like I mentioned in my last post, my next video will be a scrapbook page layout. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

Bellarific Friday Card Challenge Entry - Anything Goes

Well, this is the final entry before the big decision can be made as to who the next designer for Stamping Bella will be. So far all the entries have been absolutely amazing, it is going to be very difficult to chose the designer. I am just amazed at all the talented women that are out there, it really blows my mind.

For the final entry you can make anything that you want, there was no specific theme or sketch involved. Well, I came up with my own theme. School is starting soon so I thought of creating a card with books involved and this is what I came up with.

I have more cards to share with all of you, but I will save those for a later time. In addition, my next video will consist of a scrapbook page layout so look forward to that coming up soon along with a tour of my craft room. That's all for today folks, have an awesome weekend.

Funky looking Blueberry Cake Recipe

Today I would like to share with you a recipe for a Blueberry cake that looks...well greenish.

I had some blueberries in the fridge that needed to be put to good use pretty darn quick, so I had to come up with a recipe to finish up all the berries. Well, you are probably wondering why this cake looks green, and the secret to that is food coloring. My son wanted the cake to look as if aliens had made it so he came up with the idea of adding Blue food coloring not Green. Once all the ingredients were mixed together we came up with a lovely Mint Green color.

The ingredients are as follows :
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • zest of lemon
  • 4 drops of Blue food coloring
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of blueberries ( I prefer sour cherries, yummy)
Preparation:

Mix the first seven ingredients well. Then gradually add in your flour. Once everything is mixed well together, add in your Blueberries and mix once again. I added more then 1 cup of berries.

Next step is to get the mixture taste tested like below :o)

Pour the mixture into a cake pan and sprinkle a handful of Blueberries on the very top of the mixture as per below.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cook until cake is golden brown like below.

You can alter the recipe to less sugar or different fruits, whatever you have handy at home. I hope you will give it a try cause the kids absolutely loved this Alien Green Blueberry cake :o)

Have a terrific Wednesday !!!!

Bellarific Friday Card Challenge Entry - Paula's Sketch Card

Well hello bloggers, I am back with another card for Stamping Bella's Card Challenge. I am very excited to share this card with all of you cause I absolutely love how she turned out. The colors are so bright and welcoming and as you can see I paper pieced her dress. The sentiment says a note to you and if you notice I stamped the background of the green flower with musical notes, pretty clever isn't it (hehehe).
